VTT is proud to offer our EWG “Direct Control System” or DCS! This is a completely new innovation for people looking to control the highest-flowing wastegate on the market using an existing BMW electronic actuator. This system will allow BMW owners who have a vehicle with Electronic Wastegates from the factory to utilize this system to control an externally wastegated turbo system, AND it will ALSO allow ANY vehicle to use this setup to control your own custom turbo system. This is done by utilizing our custom 7075 Billet aluminum bracket coupled with a Turbosmart Straight gate, and if needed an EWG controller made for us by DCCD Pro.
This allows direct external wastegate control over any turbocharger system with or without EWG for the factory.
There are two strategies for using this system.
- You already own a BMW vehicle that has EWG control from the factory. You simply order the Billet adapter with a straight gate and any required harness extension. Plug this into the factory system, calibrate, and provide the required tune changes and you have direct factory control over your custom externally wastegated system
- You are building a custom turbocharger kit, and want direct Electronic EWG control. You will need the billet adapter with a straight gate, a factory BMW actuator, our WG controller, any extension harnesses, and a stand-alone ECU that can work with the EWG controller (virtually any modern stand-alone ECU can do so)
Those two options will allow direct control of any turbocharger system, single or twin. If twins you will need two billet adapters, gates, etc, we make a Y harness to control them both from one EWG controller
